PROGRESSIVE ROCK - HERO - Same - 1974

Pérola italiana esquecida no tempo e que fez parte da cena progressiva no país. O trio Hero foi formado em Udine no fim da década de 60 e rapidamente "se mudou" para a Munique, na Alemanha, onde gravou seu único álbum em 1972, mas que só veio a ser lançado dois anos depois, em 74. No ano em que o disco saiu o trio já havia acabado pois o guitarrista, baixista e líder Massimo Pravato morreu em um acidente de carro pouco tempo antes, recentemente o álbum foi relançado em CD com bônus.
O auto intitulado traz 9 faixas, na maioria curtas e longes do som típico que se fazia na Itália da época, se aproximando mais da mescla entre prog e hard rock de grupos alemães e britânicos, como Birth Control, Eloy, 2066 & Then e até VdGG. No instrumental destaque para o ótimo de órgão Hammond e guitarra, se revesando em solos e momentos viajantes, as músicas são muito bem "interpretadas" por Deller, as letras são todas em inglês.
Uma ótima pérola, no geral, cheio de boas faixas e momentos. Recomendado para fãs de hard prog, principalmente italiano.

Italian Pearl that was part of the progressive scene in the country. The trio Hero was formed in Udine in the late 60's and quickly "moved" to Munich, Germany, where he recorded his only album in 1972, but only came to be released two years later, at 74. In the year in which the record came out the trio was over as the guitarist, bassist and leader Massimo Pravato died in a car accident shortly before this.
The self titled brings 9 tracks, most short, distant from the typical sound that was made in Italy at the time, moving closer to the blend of prog and hard rock of German and British groups such as Birth Control, Eloy, 2066 & Then and even VdGG. Instrumental in highlighting the great Hammond organ and guitar, are taking turns in solos and time travelers, the songs are very well "interpreted" by Deller, the lyrics are all in English. Great gem, full of good song, recommended for hard prog and italian prog rock fans.
