Miguel Livichich foi um músico e compositor uruguaio nascido na capital Montevidéu em 1947. Começou sua carreira na música em meados dos anos 60, sendo fundador do grupo El Sindykato em 1969, com a qual participou do primeiro LP. Em 1971 partiu para carreira solo, se juntando com membros de uma pequena banda local chamada Feeling Rock, formando assim o projeto Miguel y El Comité. O músico voltou a cena apenas em 2001, porém veio a falecer em 2013.
Posto aqui seu único álbum com o Miguel y El Comité, intitulado Para Hacer Música, Para Hacer... e lançado em 1972 pela Sondor. Dividido em 11 curtas faixas, a obra segue exemplo de outros artistas do país na época, tendo como objetivo a mescla de ritmos latinos (especialmente o Candombe) com rock'n'roll, entre beat, garagem e funk. O instrumental é simples, baseado na boa percussão ao fundo e com domínio da guitarra, em momentos melódica e outros agressiva, acompanhando o vocal em espanhol e inglês.
Nada de excepcional, porém um disco que pode interessar fãs de rock e ritmos latinos.

Miguel Livichich left El Syndikato, and in an instant, formed another band, joining forces with an existing group called Feeling Rock. This new group was called Miguel y el Comité (Miguel and the Committee)—a clear allusion to Livichich’s previous group; even though Miguel y el Comité worked as a proper band in their structure, Miguel Livichich made all decisions concerning the group.
That band’s 1972 album, with Livichich firmly at the helm, fused the local candombe rhythm with beat music in an unusual and aggressive (oft-times funky, break-beat) way. Miguel y el Comité played mostly original songs, but they also mixed in covers of tracks by other Uruguayan bands. They were the first to sing hits by other groups (El Kinto, Los Shakers), which added a new dimension to the burgeoning Uruguayan scene. Percussion plays a key role in the band’s sound, although the guitar playing is most distinctive: sometimes melodic, at other times carving a path through the mix, with a hard and acid distorted fuzz guitar sound, as on the title track and the fabulous cover of El Kinto’s ‘Qué me importa.’
