HARD ROCK - CHARLIES - Buttocks - 1970

Pérola vinda da Finlândia, formada no final da década de 60 na cidade de Lahti. O grupo Charlies lançou dois álbuns no ano de 1970 e foi um dos pioneiros do hard rock no país, mesmo assim não conseguiu sucesso como outros nomes finlandeses como Wigwam e Tasavallan President. Infelizmente a banda se desfez alguns anos depois, em 1973.

Posto aqui o segundo disco do grupo, Buttocks, mais "hardeiro" que o primeiro, este um pouco mais voltado para o blues psicodélico (mas que também é muito bom). Buttocks traz um ótimo hard rock, contando ainda com algumas influencias de blues e progressivo, lembrando outras bandas como Jetro Tull, Captain Beyond, Grand Funk e outras. Guitarra barulhenta e selvagem predomina e é o principal destaque, passagens de flauta e sax dão um bom toque progressivo em alguns momentos, outros instrumentos bem incomuns ao rock também aparecem, como tamborim, tambores e chocalhos. Todas as letras são em inglês.

No geral, outra ótima pérola. Hard rock poderoso, recomendado para fãs do estilo.

Pearl coming from Finland, formed in the late 60s in the city of Lahti. The group Charlies released two albums in 1970 and was a pioneer of hard rock in the country, yet failed to succeed as other Finnish names like Wigwam and Tasavallan President. Post here the second disc group: Buttocks, harder than the first, this is a bit friendlier to the psychedelic blues (but which is also very good). Buttocks brings a great hard rock, still relying on some blues and progressive influences, reminding other bands like Jethro Tull, Captain Beyond, Grand Funk and others. Noisy and wild guitar predominates and is the main highlight, passages of flute and sax give a good progressive touch in some moments, and other unusual instruments to rock also appear, such as tambourine, Moroccan Clay Drums, Cowbell and Sandballs. All lyrics are in English.
Overall, another great pearl. Powerful hard rock , recommended for fans of the style.
