PROGRESSIVE ROCK - PANDORA - Measures of Time - 1974

Mais uma pérola vinda da Suécia. O Pandora foi fundado em 1971 na cidade de Norrkoping, no sul do país, pelo baterista Bertil Jonsson e pelo guitarrista Urban Gotling, após algumas mudanças na formação a banda gravou o seu único álbum, em 1974. O grupo continuou tocando na década de 70 e em 1979 lançou um último compacto e sem sucesso acabou no início da década de 80, alguns membros ainda seguem na
música local.
Measures of Time traz um bom e sólido rock progressivo, com alguns toques de sinfônico e também hard. Influências de grandes grupos britânicos, como Camel, Beggar's Opera e Gentle Giant também são perceptíveis. Destaque para boas passagens de sintetizador e piano, que dominam a parte instrumental junto com a guitarra. Outra boa surpresa é o vocal de Peter Hjelm, muito agradável e cantado sem forte sotaque, já que todas as músicas são em inglês.
Bela pérola, no geral, nada de excelente, mas um disco cheio de bons momentos.  Recomendado para fãs de prog.

Pearl coming from Sweden, the group Pandora appeared in 1971 in the city of Norrkoping, by the drummer Bertil Jonsson and guitarist Urban Gotling, after some lineup changes the band recorded their only album in 1974. Without success the band disbanded in 1981.
The album Measures of Time brings a good and solid progressive rock with some symphonic and hard rock touches. Influences of British groups such as Camel, Beggar's Opera and Gentle Giant are clear. Highlight for good passages of synthesizer and piano, which dominate the instrumental part with the guitar. Another good surprise is the voice of Peter Hjelm, very nice and sung without strong accent, since all the songs are in English.
Beautiful pearl, overall, nothing extraordinary, but full of good times. Recommended for fans of prog.
