Comentário: Formada em Wuppertal em 1969 por jovens que já tocavam em pequenos grupos de garagem da época, o Apple Pie lançou apenas um compacto em 1970 e logo se desfez. Fez parte da compilação Psychedelic Gems décadas depois.

 No lado A ouvimos a música "Ballad Of The Crying Man", destaque do single, que abre com flauta, guitarra e órgão, lembrando Jethro Tull, e se desenrola com guitarra wah-wah e vocais em inglês, quase em um levada de blues. "Maurice" traz uma pegada mais psicodélica e garageira, novamente com destaque para a guitarra pesada. 

Formed in Wuppertal in 1969 by young people already playing in small garage groups of the time, Apple Pie only released a single in 1970 and soon disbanded. It was part of the compilation Psychedelic Gems decades later.

 On the A side we hear the song "Ballad Of The Crying Man", the highlight of the single, which opens with flute, guitar and organ, reminding Jethro Tull, and unfolds with wah-wah guitar and vocals in English. "Maurice" brings a more 60's psychedelic / garage style, again featuring heavy guitar.

Comentário: Grupo pioneiro do rock guatemalteco, formado em 1967, originalmente fazendo covers de grandes nomes americanos e ingleses dos anos 60. Posteriormente lançaram vários singles com composições próprias, porém nenhum LP (a postagem que trago aqui é uma compilação não oficial das músicas lançadas no período). Houve uma rápida reunião em 2014.

Ouvimos aqui 8 curtas e surpreendentes faixas, considerando a localização e época dos registros, pois trazem um rock psicodélico pesado, garageiro e 'sujo', com guitarra fuzz nervosa liderando em todas as canções, vocais de personalidade (letras em inglês e espanhol) e seção rítmica endiabrada (especialmente em 'Woman'). Um grande exemplo que o rock não possui fronteiras, altamente recomendado para fãs de psicodelia sessentista!

A pioneering group of Guatemalan rock, formed in 1967, originally doing covers of great American and British names of the 60s. Later they released several singles with own compositions, however no LP (the post that I bring here is an unofficial compilation of the songs released in the period). There was a quick meeting in 2014.

We listen here to 8 short and surprising tracks, considering the location and time of the records, because they bring a heavy, garage and 'dirty' psychedelic rock, with nervous fuzz guitar leading in all the songs, good vocals (English and Spanish lyrics) and mad rhythmic section (especially in 'Woman'). A great example that rock has no boundaries, recommended for 60's psychedelia fans.
